The Distribution of the Westaway Name from 1841 - 1891 using the 1841 & 1891 Censuses

In 1841 the Westaway name was found mainly in Devon .
By 1891 the name has spread to many other counties in England & Wales, but was still predominantly based in Devon
In 1841 the largest cluster of the Westaway name can been seen around the Okehampton area.
By 1891 the migration has started and the now largest cluster of the name is around the Newton Abbot & Torquay areas. It has also moved to Cornwall, Somerset & South Wales.
In the 1841 census the largest cluster of Westaways recorded in parishes is around Okehampton.
By 1891 the largest clusters have moved to the Newton Abbot/Torquay area and Bradworthy. (Note this is a different scale)
